We are on SharePoint 2010. Users have started to get Visio 2013 and so far it's worked out OK as we only have had VSD files. But now new files are being saved as VSDX.
Yesterday they said they were not able to open them because when they clicked on the item in a library it tried to download a .zip file. Not a problem. I've got this one.
I went into 14TemplateXMLDOCICON.xml and added these lines under the .vsd entry:
Did my IIS Resets on all the server and it worked great. Users were able to open the files just fine again. But I got another call today where they complained of the same behavior on a different page.
Their library has an approval workflow attached to it. There is a link on that page where they can view the document. This is a screenshot of the page where the link is broken. I have a red arrow pointing to it in this image: http://i.imgur.com/NwB2KyV.png
Sample Visio File Downloads
I am completely stumped. It's the same link as the one on the main library page.
Has anyone come across this behavior before? Other then open a support call with Microsoft I don't have a clue where to start trying to debug the issue.
edit: I should mention that I had the users try and create a new document and send it through the approval process. The same thing occurred. This isn't just with an existing workflow.
I also tried creating a very simple html file that just had an <a href> tag pointing to the file and it tried to download a zip as well. So it's like SharePoint doesn't understand how to handle the file-opening of Visio on any page that's not a main library page?

Azure diagram templates for Visio 2019, 2016, and older versions
If you have a non-subscription or older version of Visio, there are no Azure diagram (or Cloud and Enterprise) templates available. However, you can download the stencils from the Azure portal, which enables you to create your own Azure diagrams with symbols and icons to represent your cloud system.
